Lena Södergren is Vice President at Cotecna-Switzerland, leading the business line responsible for product and shipment certification, government conformity assessment programs, government food safety programs and similar services.
In this role, Lena ensures that the global network of certification offices deliver certification services (including inspection, sampling, testing; so called TIC services) to the trading communities as well as serving the government relationship with the contracting countries. These institutional clients could typically be national Food and Drug Administrations, Bureau of Standards, Ministry of Commerce and Industry.
Prior to her current role in Cotecna, Lena worked at Intertek for over 20 years, where she held various roles within the same “TIC” industry, including Business Development & Marketing Director, Operations Director and Program Director. In that role she was part of starting the world’s first government conformity assessment program namely SASO-CAP in Saudi Arabia in 1995. Lena holds a degree in business administration and management from Stockholm Sweden.
