Amazon Expands Grocery Delivery in Saudi Arabia Through Partnership with Al-Othaim Markets

Saudi shoppers can now order groceries online from Al-Othaim Markets through Amazon.sa, following a new partnership between the two companies aimed at redefining the Kingdom’s e-grocery landscape. The service, which launched this week in Riyadh and Jeddah, allows customers to shop from thousands of Al-Othaim’s products and have them delivered on the same day.

The collaboration brings together Al-Othaim’s long-standing expertise in food retail with Amazon’s technology-driven logistics network. Customers will be able to choose from an assortment of fresh produce, household goods and pantry staples, while benefiting from competitive pricing and promotional offers.

Amazon said the new service leverages its temperature-controlled delivery fleet and smart inventory systems to ensure the freshness of perishables from store to doorstep. Prime members in eligible areas can access free same-day delivery on orders over SAR 75.

Executives from both companies described the partnership as a milestone for Saudi Arabia’s fast-growing e-commerce sector. They said the move aligns with shifting consumer habits toward online grocery shopping and supports the Kingdom’s broader push to modernise the retail industry.

The initiative also expands Al-Othaim’s digital footprint, giving the supermarket chain access to millions of Amazon customers and marking a new chapter in the evolution of grocery retail in Saudi Arabia.
